Private Cabin Rentals

Anyone know of any private cabins or homes on LOW or Crow around Nestor Falls? Getting tired of the resort scene and would like something a little quieter. Any ideas?

i dont know of any right now but i can look and ask around when i go up to nester falls monday will be on lake of the woods, i will be gone for a week so i will post back when i get home.

jerkin'm, I'll keep my eyes peeled in the local newspaper and other area productions. THere are sometimes adds in the classifieds. Some people are picky and require references. (I guess I would too )

Thanks Hemlock, I saw on a different thread you had rellies in Wadena? I have a cabin right by Ottertail, maybe trade a guide day around there for a guide day on LOW? Or maybe Lake Minnetonka, I live across the street from it too. Let me know if you're interested.

Have you given any thought to renting a houseboat? It is like having a different cabin every day if you feel like moving.

My wife and I rented a small one out of the Narrows in 99, and we would do it again in a heartbeat. The small boat had all the basic comforts: microwave, gas stove and oven, fridge and freezer, hot and cold running water, flush toilet, and a nice livewell and fish cleaning station on the back deck. The larger boats are even nicer. The operators come to visit you mid-week, bringing more ice, and anything else you radio in the prior day.

If you talk to our friend in Clitherall, perhaps he will borrow you his Ambercrombie hoodie and you will be guarenteed excellent fishing.

Trying to pull me away from here to fish on any other lake is going to be the hard part.

Wife is from Wadena, yes. We are off to Jordan this weekend for a wedding. I can't wait....

Ahh yes, the famous sweatshirt....I have rented house boats before, on Vermillion, but we will have kind of a big group and some munchkins too. Would rather spend most of the time on Crow. Good idea though, I think I found a couple remote new cabins on Crow that we will pull the trigger on. They look very sweet and are close to the summer trout holes.
