What lure(s) are you going to throw first on Saturday

I'll be pitching jigs and minnows in current. Of course, I'll be catching smallmouth. When I move into slower water I'll throw a 1/2 ounce crayfish imitiation, when things really get warm rubber frogs. Maybe this is the year I'll get into the plastic worms.

I already have two different color Chatterbaits tied on, a buzzbait, spinnerbait, and a soft plastic creature on the flippin stick. Keeping the rest of them in the rod box because I can't imagine I would need anything else on the opener.

Rapala Silver Minnow for starts (everything loves to bite on that).

Then some spinner baits.

Then follow it up with some jigs.

If I get really lazy, I'll toss out the ol' leach on a bobber (bass love'em).

Thought I'd bring this one back to the top because I've been trying to figure out what I am going to have rigged up this weekend.

Don't tell the cat guys Ralph that I was over here. I'll be tossing the trusty texas rigged worm around. Then I'll maybe throw the cliche spinnerbait. If I really get a bug up my rear, I might try deeper, weedless edges with some crankbaits.

Ole-

I'm rigging them texas style. Depending on what brand you bought, the sink rate of the lure will vary....same deal as an original senko and a copy cat. I prefer to throw it weightless. However, if the bait seems to be too light or if the situation asks for some weight, I've been using a very small bullet shaped split shot, placing it right near the eye of the hook, or a pegged bullet weight. Colors- the lake that I've been fishing lately is darker, with a fair amount of rocks. So, I've been throwing one with a redish/orange bottom and a darker black top half... I figure that it makes a good crawfish imitation. Another color that was working good was a lighter green or chartreuse bottom and a brown top. Just fish them slow, somewhat like a tube, and you should be pleased.
