Jiffy Ice Augers

Dan Wood

Question

  • 0

Had a new Jiffy auger for two weeks and guess what, BROKE! The "metal" part where the throttle connects snapped. I love it when you have phone numbers on websites and on your manuals and warranty information to call and get nothing but automated messages. Anyone have a number where I can talk to a REAL person? Brought the auger in where I was told to but if they end up welding or anything else other than complete new parts I'm going to need someone to talk to. $330 for an auger and their parts are cheap enough to snap. Gotta love it. Where's the nearest strike master dealer???!!!

Hip Hop,

Don't get too discouraged.

I called Jiffy's sales department and spoke to Rob and he really helped me out. Got a replacement part sent out same day.

The Customer Service Team is a bit on the slow side, but at least you aren't trying to get help from an online store like sportsman's guide!

I had the same problem with my three year old Lazer 2HP. Finally monkey riged the throttle cable with copper wire.
When my 3 HP Jiffy was under a year old the pull start mechanism exploded on me after drilling a hole and it quite. I guess the parts were switched to plastic and due to extreem cold it can break while pulling the machine over.
