0 Rip_Some_Lip
Are you talking tail/brake lights? I have the worst luck with trailer lights and would change in a minute to something that works better. Where would a guy get them at and are they affordable? 0 Mark Christianson
Northern Tool has them, and if you don't put them on, your foolish. Well, not foolish, but you never have to worry about light issues again. At least not in the next millenium. They are awesome.

0 jps
Anyone know if there is a difference in quality or performance on the LED lights? Also thinking about mounting boat trailer lights up high like some I've seen! Where could I find this type of roller guides? TIA jps
0 Gus
LED lights are great! But to say that you'll never have problems again is just wrong. You might not have to deal with burnt out bulbs or corrosion in the light sockets but you still have to deal with the ground and the wiring between the lights and the truck. LED lights are only part of the puzzle. That being said I have only had a problem one time in the 3 years I've had led lights and it was my ground for one of the lights. Much better odds than with standard lights.
0 Giant_Jackpot
Gus is correct. If the bulbs don’t get you the wiring will. I had an intermittent short last fall on the running lights. This spring I figured I better just re-wire the thing so I wouldn’t have problems this year. Anyway, the first hole I started pulling wires out of gave up the culprit. There was a bullet connector at the rear that fed the three running lights on the lower cross member of the trailer. The bullet connector was wedged crosswise inside the trailer frame and had rubbed a bit of the insulation off. You just never know………………….
0 fish-n-geek
I picked up a set at one of the hardware giants. Fully sealed, except where the wires "snap" into the back of the lights. Filled those holes with silicone. Much brighter than the old bulbs and I dont' even unplug em when I back into the water. -rus-
0 Little_Bones
I work with a couple brands of LED bars for trucks. THere has been a lot of interest in people wanting to put them on their snowmobile trailers. We work with the red strip that would be 60" long, blinks with the blinkers and brake lights. We also work with 57" and shorter amber ones that are usually put on the rocker panels of trucks, but now trialer guys are putting them on the side. These lights can be found from differnt manufacturers and different prices. I have found one brand that I now stick with as I have had none come back for warranty work. The cheaper ones had a 75% chance of being bad out of the package so it was not worth it. These lights are great and would look great on trailers, and I am sure we could fine some nice spots on the boats as well as they are small.
