#1 pick, Alex Smith...

20 and apparantly the smartest guy in the draft. Graduated in 2 years... Sounds good, we shall see in 5 years I guess.

Gut feeling is a good Qb, not a bust but maybe comparable to Drew Bledsoe.

#3 Braylon Edwards wr Michigan, well another loudmouth in Cleveland, he and Kellan Winslow can play tough guys off the field and get smashed on..

But the guy can play, another Randy Moss without as much talent...

I give up...

Vikes pass on Mike Williams, and go for the burner Troy Williamson...

Go Figure, coulda got him at 18th IMO...Or at least trade down to say the Chargers and get another pick... confused.gif

He would not have been there at 18 because the chargers would have jumped on him. The only thing they could have done is trade down 3 spots and stay in front of the chargers. Remember 2 years ago people couldnt believe the vikes passed on Suggs for Kevin Williams and that has turned out great. The vikes have drafted very well the last couple years and i think they obviously see something that has made them take Williamson over Williams. A reciever thats almost 6'2" and can run a 4.3 is something pretty special. Like the boys on ESPN said, if he had played in an offense that threw the ball more and not the conservative offense he played in he would have been a household name and he wouldnt have even been there when the vikes picked.

Kelly Campbell is 4" shorter and is a headcase, there is no comparison in the 2 recievers.

I like the pick. They already have Burleson and Robinson, similar in style to Mike Williams. They need somebody who can stretch the defense a bit more. If they want to become a running team (which they do - and should), someone like Williamson who can stretch the D is important. And he wouldn't have slid to 18...they would've had to settle for Clayton if they would've waited.

Strong running game, complemented with a vertical/deep passing game, and a strong defense...if the Vikes can get it all put together, this could be a very good team...

The Lions just took Mike Williams. Holy $#@!. If Harrington can be half-decent, that Lion offense could be tough to cover...Williams fits better with their offense, because their other receivers are more speed guys...

That was a retarded pick by the Kittys, they have more needs than wide receiver that could have been addressed, Mike Williams will do nothing for them without a QB that can get him the ball! Harrington is aweful and Garcia aint that far behind! Once again the Lions prove why they are the doormat! tongue.gifgrin.gif

Well now that the guy is OURS, I have found out a few more things about him. His Offense in South Carolina was horrible last year,t he QB was terrible. He apparantly is the Anti-Moss as far as attitude goes, and he IS the fastest WR in the draft.

Maybe this was the way to go, DC does like to air that ball out.

Well #18 is right around the corner, gotta go Defense here obviously. Spears?
