"Muskies for Everyone"

I was watching this show the other day and I saw a cool looking soft plastic that caught my eye(hopefully it catches the fish's eye also smile.gif). It was mostly a dark gray/black color with orange stripes and they showed it swimming underwater, though it had no lip. I would guess it's about 8-12 inches long and shaped like a perch or a small bass. I would like to know who makes this lure and where I could pick it up if anyone knows. I tried doing a search and came up with nothing.

Tony,

I saw the show and it was a shallow invader made by the same company that makes the bulldawg (Musky Innovations me thinks). Very cool bait though I personally haven't caught one on it yet but have had several follows.

Sounds like you guys were watching Northwoods Adventures, sweet show, 9 times out of 10 they are fishing Muskies good footage too... I think Musky Innovations sponsers them heavily along with Fig Rig rods and North Country Boats. I have been wanting to pick up a shallow invader, think i might have to here before the season kicks in.

Hey Hugo, how goes it?

Hugo,

Glad to hear your taper came through, now get that finished, I heard there are some crappies eagerly awaiting your line. Junior is good, growing like a weed, I think he will tower his old man, not tough to do though...

The lure I saw was all soft plastic/rubber. The invaders I've seen are half solid with rubber tail sections. Does Muskie Innovations make solid rubber ones too? Thanks for all the replies!

You were probably looking at a Castaic Swim Bait or something similar. Bunch of companies out there now making this type of bait. Started out in California for BIG bass fishermen, but they realized there is a market for these baits among musky fishermen also.
