Jaypo
I'm a little pumped up to get the long rods out and hit the water, but need to tune my 70 hp evinrude up before hitting the lakes. Any estimates on how long most shops will keep it at this time of year for a tune up?
0 wall eyell be
How long it will take to actually do the tune up: about an hour. How long it will be before they start doing the tune up: anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks. Some shops want you to bring it in and leave it for 2 weeks and then they'll call you when they have it done. Other shops will schedule an appointment for 2 weeks from now, then you take it in the morning of the appointed day or the night before. Call around and ask a few which way they do it. 0 IFallsRon
2 to 6 weeks is a good estimate. The guy I use in Sauk Rapids is at least four weeks this time of year.

0 Retro Active
Call Hannays in Minneapolis, right off of Central Ave. I called on Monday to schedule a tune-up for my Yamahammer, they had me in and out by noon on Tuesday. Total bill for lync/sync, new plugs, new gear oil, and a general look over (plus a small piece of fuel line) was $125. Can't beat the piece of mind.
