Hey fellas check out the new fishing rig for the river.. I took it out today and run the river for 30 miles. up and down the new dam after the ice went out. It is looking pretty good down there.. We will just have to wait and see how all the rebar treats us in the river for fishing.

Just under 18', 98" beam, still 175hp sj, new improvments are: larger dog house allowing for a seat, large dry storage up front with trap door on top instead of cubby hole, new color, sides are about 6" lower making for firmer sides and quiet ride and the front is filled with foam also helps make it quiet and stronger. Rear deck is a bit smaller and it has a 9 degree hull instead of a 6 degree. Over all it runs like a jack rabbit and and handles like a nascar.

Rusty, what a sweet looking rig, maybe our paths will cross this year up at Stu's and I can get a ride! planning 3 trips up there this summer, or maybe I'll just have to take a drive to Crookston, Dave

Hi Canuck, not sure about the exact dates, but the first week of June, third week of July, and around the 13th of September, any any other time the urge strikes, its been a long winter and I can just hear that clicker!has the ice gone from the river? with that current I am sure it has. Soon the fun begins.

The catfish season is continuous on the US end of the Red River of the North and will open on the Canadian end in mid May.

We are starting to catch cats now on the Central Red River here in the Fargo ND area. Points to the South of Fargo on the Red may be even more active at this time due to slightly warmer water temps in the rivers.

Most folks are hunting walleyes yet. The cats will get more pressure by anglers soon.

On the Sturgeon end, I was suppose to be headed down there this weekend but mommie is on pegs and I can't get away. Stu may be headind down.
