Some good cars had bad luck with the tires today. 24 and 2 in particular. 17 too I guess, but he wasn't as fast as the other two I don't think...

Funny how the good cars didn't really have much trouble though. Rusty was very fast early to mid race but was probably abusing the right front, either through setup or driving style. Not so fast trying to take care of it. Makes ya wonder, how fast could some of those other cars had gone with no regard to saving tires??

The 24 seemed alright when he stayed out to get to the front. I suspect he picked up the same thing the 17 did at the end of the race....those were fairly new and not abused tires. The 17 stayed out an extra lap because they thought a caution would come for debris. But Gosh forbid they throw yellow at the end of the race they'd be picking up Budweisers along with the debris.
