Skitterpop
Any predictions out there? I will go with UND over MN (sorry boys, UND is pretty hot in their last 11 games and MN hasn't been) and CC getting a little revenge on Denver from the WCHA tournie. No repeat champ this year. Final CC squeaking it out over UND by 1 goal. I'm a UND fan but I don't honestly think they are national champion caliber. I hope I am wrong. Of course this is all speculation but it will be nice to have a guaranteed WCHA national champ no matter what happens. We are lucky to have great caliber hockey in this region of ND/MN. So, again I pick CC over UND.

buzzsaw
I guess I have to go with what I did on our office pool... Denver over MN... so far I've gotten them all correct... lets just say I hope MN wins it all, but there is some serious talent out there!
Guest
I would love to pick the Gophers, but I will go with CC.
Hockey Guy
I have absolutely, positively, no love what so ever for UND! They have the most obnoxious fans ever. I actually had a UND fan sit next to me last year and complain that the Gophers weren’t any good until they had the nerve to recruit players from North Dakota. Can you believe that? They had 11 guys on their roster from MN but had to complain about 2 guys. Still, UND is big, very physical, they play in-your-face hockey, and since the Frozen Four is on a small rink I have to pick them to win it all. MAN I HOPE SOMEONE PROVES ME WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Skitterpop
Hockey Guy, that must have hurt your fingers to type UND as your pick. Mighty brave of you to do that . The smaller rink does favor the physical team but I don't think UND can afford to send guys to the penalty box 8-9 times a game and expect to kill all the penalties off like they did in Boston. The physical play of UND could hurt them this week. MN needs to pick the offense up if they want to do something this week. By the way, you wouldn't be annoyed by me if I sat next to you as a UND fan. Every team has stupid fans just like every family has that one crazy relative . Good hockey is good hockey no matter what team it is. It should be fun to watch the hockey drama unfold.
30 inch eyes
Okay here we go. UM over CC. CC will get revenge on Denver, and Briggs looks to have his swagger back, and when he has it going the team steps up for him. GO GOPHERS!
Jim Bob
I really like CC talent, but I think DU is on a roll just like last year.

Wayne Sieber
Gophers beat the Suzies - Colorado beats Denver - Gophers beat Colorado - It's just that simple!!
8-Ball
Gophers beat ND (close and physical, but our speed beats their brawn). Then, CC beats Denver- CC is just flat-out faster than any of the other three in the FF. Gophs beat CC as Briggs (whom I had really soured on) stands on his head and stops many two-on-ones, etc. It goes to OT and we win on a tip in... I never ever would have thunk it a few weeks ago, or even when the season started. 8-Ball.
chart1444
I lived in East Grand Forks, for years and went to a few UND games, but always wore Maroon and Gold. You're right, they have some obnoxious fans and they don't know the last word to the National Anthem. Minnesota over UND, and I hope it's 6-0 again. CC over Denver Minnesota over CC Go Gophers
Skitterpop
Boy I'm glad I was right! UND 4 MN 2. I got the CC-Denver one wrong but at least my Sioux won. Now if they can only beat Denver somehow. Sorry Gopher fans. Here comes the hate posts directed at me for sure.
chart1444
I'm sure that UND wanted another shot at Denver, after what happened to Bina. Hockey is sure crazy, UND and Minnesota played 4 times this year, both teams scored a total of 12 goals, but UND won 3 times, 4-2,0-6,4-2,4-2. There should be a lot of hitting in the championship. buzzsaw
I'm a huge Gopher fan but I've gotta give FULL credit to Hakstol and the Sioux! The green machine looked very good last night, on the other hand Minnesota didn't seem to come out and play smart or with much heart. Minnesota needs some skill players to create more goal scoring opportunities... thank goodness we have a great class coming in next year.
Hockey Guy
dump dump dump dump dump dump dump dump dump dump dump dump dump dump dump dump dump dump dump dump dump. I hated to be right about that one! One thing I think this years team lacked was Pride. I thought that all year but it showed more last night. During the Brooks and Woog era, everyone knew that they didn't just play on a 'hockey team' but they played for the GOPHERS. Even when they lost they put up a fight. I just don't see that anymore. Tully
It was an awesome game. I think the Sioux took it to them from the get go. What difference would the size of the rink make when the Sioux were outhustling the Gophs. and beating them to every loose puck.TullyGo Sioux! Quackaddict9
FABIAN scores 2!!! I was happy to see him score the first 2 goals, give credit to him. I thought the Sioux would win but i picked Gophs because i like them better. Sioux will be good for a couple more years with this class, coming up with Vandy, Lee and oshie. I know gophs are getting some players but i think it will be a great match up in the future playoffs!! cant wait to see the Sioux beat Denver tomorrow!!!!!!!! RJ
Guess I have to pull for Denver. Gwozdecky was an assistant coach for us at Michigan State for a few years. He's done a great job, wherever he has gone. Must be nice to have four conference teams in the Frozen Four. Our CCHA has been down for a few years. Thought Michigan would make it this year, but CC ended it.

Quackaddict9
Awesome game by Manno!!! I dont care if hes a freshmen or a senior or what. This goalie has got alot of confidence in himself. I still disagree with the waved off goal in the 1st period, I believe that went in, too bad Fabian had to let that one go... Otherwise I thought it was a pretty good game from 1st period to 1/2 of the 2nd period then UND seemed to be getting beat. Give credit to both teams for making to the NCAA finals and the other 2 teams (MN and CC for making it to the Frozen Four) AS LONG I'M HAPPY ANOTHER WCHA TOOK THE TITLE!!!! I dont like that Sertich won it, I think Gabe Guither (sp?) from DU is better... otherwise Mckee should have won it with starting all games this year for Cornell and 18 unbeaten streak snapped by the Gophs... IMO
buzzsaw
The WCHA Championship (part deux) was great again! I was torn because I didn't really want another team to do the back to back thing like Minnesota just got done doing... but I really didn't want North Dakota to win it all!!!!!! I am very happy they lost! I know that sounds bad to all Sioux fans, but I just can't route for a team that has the games biggest goon in Matt Greene playing for them. The guy is stupid!! He crosschecks late in the game when his team is down by a goal and kills any chance of gaining momentum... DUMB!! Hack!! GOON!! Go to the pro's and get your butt kicked in fights!Good job Denver! Classy organization, great young team!!
