walleyeking#8
Bobcat, There are quite a few resorts, campgrounds and a couple state parks on big stone. As far as names, I am not sure there correct names. I think one is Hartford beach which I think is a state park not sure though and one of them is an apple farm and campground on the minnesota side. What you can do is do a search for Big Stone Lake in Ortonville MN and this ought to give you all the resorts and campgrounds. I kinda remember looking at this not to long ago when my family was planning a camping trip. Goodluck finding what you are looking for. That time of the year should be real good for fishing. Goodluck.

ifishsd
Hartford beach is a state park on the south dakota side. Schmidt's landing is a resort on the SD side also.
wallii
If you are interested in a resort that has housekeeping cabins you should check out Silent Falls Resort. It's about 3 miles north of Big Stone City on the SD side of the lake. They have 5 cabins that are clean and comfortable. Been staying there for a number of years and we like the fact that we are in our own cabin. Some of the others are motel style and not very private. Give Chris a call or check out their web sight. Mike Walerak
Walliim, Welcome to FM!! I just wanted to add that there can be some excellent fishing in that general vicinity. The weekend of May 7 may or may not be good weekend to be there. The Western Walleye Pro. Circut will be in town. You will see some top names in fishing out and about. The downside is it might be tough to find a place to stay.mw
