I agree, there is a good chance they will both be gone, who knows for sure though. I would definatley draft defense at #7 if that is the case, at the #18 there will still be a good contingent of WR's available. Roddy White, the fastest guy coming out of college for example, might be an option among others.

You know, for all the money we spend bringing in kickers every year, and then cutting them, then bringin in another, then bringin in someone just for kick offs, and on and on, we could have spent that money on a good kicker, plus freed up another roster spot. Plus, actually have a kicker who's not a grandfather, and can kick one from 40 yards or more. I hate when we pass up a 46 yard FGA, and punt. That's ridiculous. It's not like a good kicker costs that much, it's just that you've got to spend more than the league minimum. And for how important they are to the game, you'd think the Vikes would get a clue. How many games do we have to lose by a couple of points? And maybe our junk special teams would play a little better, if the other team didn't take our kick off at the 16 yard line, or maybe our defense would do better if we didn't punt for 32 yards...............whoa guess I got a little worked up. Sorry for the tangent.

I wouldn't complain if they did take him in the second round. My gut tells me that the only way they'd do that is if they'd trade down in the 1st round from #7 or #18 a couple spots and pick up another 3-4 rounder. Otherwise I don't think they'll do it in the 2nd round. If he's there in the 3rd round you'll be able to hear me chanting "Nugent, Nugent" all the way from Fargo.
