MIKE IN lINO III
I have a 2004 Yamaha Big Bear with 160 miles on it and it keeps flooding out. It will pop off when I try to start it at first but will soon flood and not start. I need to take the plug out and clean it up then it starts right up and runs good. Do I need to put in a different plug or adjust the cards??Mike
Fisher Dave
Is the choke turning all the way off? Once in a while they can stick and not open completely. If you got the extended warranty I would have it checked out.
Ole1855
Kinda along the lines Dave mentioned, is there a possibility that the choke lever may be broken and not really opening the butterfly when you think it is? I have a older Big Bear and it's terribly cold blooded, even in the summer I have to keep the choke partially closed until it warms up.Ole
MIKE IN lINO III
I have noticed that the choke is touchy. I don't have an extended warranty. Is there anyway to lube the cable??
Ole1855
I would assume there is but I'm no expert. Mine is just a button on the carb. that I pull to close and push to open.Ole
Eric Wettschreck
I have a big bear and the choke is a real pain. It used to stick all the time. I took the cable off and lubed it up with some graphite. That helped but it didn't cure it completely.
Dave
There is actual "cable lube" in motorsport stores.
