mnwild
Does anyone know if the trails in that area are still in good condition? I am heading that way this Saturday and any info is appreciated.

Knotwood
I was out about a week ago, on the way up from Duluth, there were two bare patches, but only where the sun always beats up those rare places. Trails were busy, but in great condition. There was lots of snow in Silver Bay area the week before, many packs of people on the trails, one guy drove up from the Cities to blast from Silver Bay to Grand Marais and back on his SkiDoo 800 MXZ, said the going was great. With the colder evening temps, the snow has settled into a good solid base, and the dusting we got today and more on the way should help keep the trails in decent shape for a bit longer yet. Have fun, be safe!!
