It is easy!!! There is a yoke and a single bolt running through the shaft that you take out and just spin the head 180 degrees. You won't be sorry either, they have three year warranties that get you fixed free of charge for anything during that time!!! What size boat are you putting this on. Remember you can't ever get enough power, if it's an 18 ft'er you should consider the 24v 70lber.

I run a Maxxum 55T on the back of my 14' boat. It does work good although I have been disappointed in the claims that you can go farther on a charge. I bought this motor last year and have about 200 hours on it now and it does NOT last longer then my last motor (MinnKota Endura 36#) also it has a slower top speed then my old Endura. It does have more overall power and can run into the wind better but honestly I was disappointed in the run length. This boat I have the motor in is only 14' and doesnt have room for more then one battery. In the summer when I run my trolling motor a little faster I can run out of battery in 3.5-4 hours. I recently switched to a Kipawa 3 bladed prop and have been on the water 3 times with it so far and don't really notice any speed difference and I can't determine if it runs longer or not since I am running at fairly slow trolling speeds so far this early in the year.

In my larger boat I have a bowmount that is 24v and it lasts pretty much all day.

I have a Maxxum 65BT that's been sitting in my basement for two years or so that I'd like to get rid of. I bought it when I had a 1775 tiller and I sold that boat shortly thereafter. The Maxxum is virtually new, probably has four hours running time on it, never been used since...

I've got a maxxum 65 that works great. I have no problems with it. It does last a long time on a single charge as I forgot to charge the batteries a couple times last. Great trolling motor!

Good Fishin'...
