outdoor ran
I need to build a simple light portable shack (windbreaker) without a floor for those long walks when I don't feel like dragging the heavy sled shack. I was hoping to get some ideas or plans from other fishermen. Anyone got something that works well for those lakes you have to hike into?
Northlander
Randy I would buy a Ice Tent. They weigh next to nothing and fold up into a very small pack. Just like a small 2 man tent but a heavier material. Only draw back is they are hard to set up alone in wind and not much headroom. Get a floor it helps keep it from blowing away. Check HSOList and I think I saw them in Cabelas. I have one that you may be able to fix up. Ill see if I can find it.
outdoor ran
Cool Steve, that would work. Shoot me an e-mail and let me know what your fishing plans are this weekend or if you have to work.
Bubbadust
A friend of mine made one out of PVC. He just glued the crosspiece together and brings that and the legs out in a little kid's sled and it sets up in a minute. Then he puts a tarp over it and uses a couple bungee cords to hold that in place. He had a little propane heater in there and it was 60-70 degrees all day long (it was below zero outside).
