wolfman-k
I'm in the market for a portable, and today I checked out the Otter insulated houses. Can anyone tell me if the extra expense is worth the money as it appears? I was told that you can heat them with only a lantern. I also need to know if the double-wide is as easy to take down as the magnum II. I like the idea of the extra room, but I'm thinking if it takes more time to put up and take down, I might be inclined to not be as mobile. I would normally be fishing with one other person, for the most part. Thanks for any comments or suggestions.
Northlander
If you fish 2 people at the most you dont need a dual flip house. A Mag Lodge will be plenty. A double will be a lot more to haul around. I wouldnt even think of a double if your ever going to pull by hand. Those insulated ones are very warm but also heavier. If you can heat it with a lantern you wont have the weight of a heater so it could even out. I wonder if they build condensation at all and how hard they are to fold up and get a cover on? Anyone have one?
eyes'
My buddy has a double flip insulated house... No condensation, and easy to fold up and get a cover on. It doesn't seem to be much heavier than my uncles double flip uninsulated house either.
