Dan Thiem
I think it opens the end of March. I think they have a HSOforum.
CrappieJohn
Not certain, but I think the weekend closest to April 1st. The ice is gone down there now, so it may open earlier. Do a search for the greater alma fishing float.

Ice-9
Wow, that's cool. I thought it was a float trip, like a canoe trip. Evidently not. Tell me...in Wisconsin? This thing is a gigantic floating fishing pier? On a river? Where is Alma? They have greyling and brown trout photos, which really confused me for a moment, until I read the fine print. Reminds me of the headboats/piers I used to fish from on the East Coast. Probably draws a colorful crowd. I assume it sits still someplace...you learn something new every day. CrappieJohn
To get to this structure, you go to Wabasha, Mn and cross the bridge into Nelson, Wisconsin. Then you go right on Wisconsin Hiway 35 to Alma, about 9 miles. There are signs for direction in Alma, but so you know the dock for the ferry boat is to your right as you go thru town. Lots of nice fish come off this animal each year.
