Deitz Dittrich
As Gpsman stated, yes, it would handole casting spoons or just about most lures for bass, walleye and pike.. but probably not designed for casting for muskie!
Dragonsm
I did exactly what Deitz said about putting out all the brakes and it did help a lot! When I first started with the Curado, I was using mono on it and found that it was a headache picking out the "professional overrun." However, a friend of mine told me to put on some of the fireline or powerpro. (I chose the powerpro) It really picks out easy and even though I still get a few every now and then, not much fishing time is lost picking it out. As for how I use my reel, I fish a lot of bass and northern for fun and it was my main reel for all the "cast and go" action I did.
