Mike Walerak
This might be kind of a riddle, but I am woundering. I am a MN resident my wife is a SD resident. Do we qualify for a husband/wife fishing license? Not that it really matters, I was just woundering.mw
Northlander
Are you students? Then the answer is yes. Im not really sure if your not. I would think if your not students then you both would have to be Mn. residents. Do you both have a Mn. drivers license?
mltjanderson
I think that your best answer will come from the dnr. But the way I read the law book says not unless one of you is a student. Plus your sign on says s.d.
Captain B.R.K
How can you be a MN resident and live in SD? At least that is what your aviator says. I'd ask the DNR on that one.
Mike Walerak
Yes, I am still a MN resident for finacial reasons, but I am a student in SD. My wife turned dakotan when we moved here. I just thought I'd throw out my situation for comment. It should be even more fun when we do our taxes.
mrwalleyee
I don't think that you would quilify for a MN family licence. But you probably would in SD. Your wife would have to have a MN drivers licence to get a resident lic.
ghotierman
From selling licenses, I recall that when you purchase a combination angling license, you would qualify as a resident...and then fill in your spouse's information, I don't believe it asks for a DL # for your spouse. The main issue is that you can't have a Resident license in two different states. There were some students from MN at NDSU that got busted for trying to get ND resident license...while maintaining MN resident license....Ultimately you'll have to choose which state you want your Residence license from...SD or MN...buy the MN combo license under your DL# if you choose to have res. in MN for fishing...if you'd rather have SD res. fishing...purchase their combo under wife's ID.
