Ice Auger Help

muskiejoe

Question

I have a Strikemaster Lazer 10 Inch power auger. It is about 9-10 years old. I was using it last weekend and the shaft/auger broke in half. I could not believe it.... Is it true I can just buy a new shaft/auger and attach it to my old engine head? Can I attach it to an 8 inch auger instead of the 10 inch? I always hated my 10 inch model. I live in Andover/Blaine, any ideas where I can buy one? Thanks, Joe

Should not be a problem.

Your local retailer may stock the auger units, if not they should be able to order.

I'v heard some fishers, are replacing their auger units, with a lazer version for around $100.00 (factory reconditioned I believe)

Good luck

Just call D-Rock in New Brighton and they will set you up. Earlier in the year I picked up an 8 inch chipper from them for under $50 and SM in Big Lake wanted around $100. In fact SM suggested, as well as several from this board, that I call D-Rock. I am very happy I did. smile.gif

i know the number for D Rock is in your owners manual. i have been up there a couple times for little parts and are very helpful. prices are very reasonable too. check out the service stores or repair shops in your owners manual though, that's how i found out about them.
