New Icehouse Reg.

Has anyone else read the new rule in the 2005 book about fish houses. It reads that houses and shelters on waters north of the line may remain on the ice between midnight and one hour before sunrise only when occupied or attended.Maybe i'm getting the wrong idea from this but in my mind why have a line at all if I can't keep my perm. house out all night after the Feb. 28th north of the line.Maybe I'll have to find me a bum to live in it for two weeks so I can keep it out and thus be legal. I would appreciate any other point of views, because my wife says I usually misunderstand things I read and gat all worked up over nothing. Thanks and good fihing to all. confused.gif

jigitup,

I have the regs out in my truck I'll have to take a look at them. So do you think your wife is correct in this matter. grin.gif Anyhow I just really wanted to say welcome to the site. This is a great place to get your questions answered. I'll see if I read into it the same way.

Take care, cool.gif

I think the intent of allowing houses to stay on the lake past Feb 28 a way up north was really for resorts and the travel industry to continue to make money and pay taxes especially on years with a late start. So they just need to book there houses. This gets the general populations to clear their houses as normal.

Just my observation.
