MIKE IN lINO III
Question for ya'll. I have a couple of 40lb tanks that I get filled. When I have them filled in the city they only fill them to 80%, 40lb tank gets weighed at 32lbs. When I go out of town ( Grand Rapids area ) they look at a chart then set the scale at 60 or so lbs. Who is correctly filling my tanks?

0 anyfishwilldo
Fleet Farm was exchanging them for $12.99, and giving a $3.00 rebate.
0 Jeremy airjer W
Be careful exchanging your tanks you could be turning in your relatively new tank and recieving a tank that could be 20+ years old!
0 setterguy
Heights rental in Columbia Heights fills 20lbers for 13 bucks, then you get a coupon for one dollar off your next fill. 20 pound tank for 12 bucks is a pretty good deal. Good guys there too if you ever need a tool.

0 Dave
Last time at Little Bighorn in Coon Rapids was about $10 for a 20-pound fill for me.
0 booshy
place in Whitebear -I think called the cooking store--quoted me the price and their bonus was the 5th refill was free...I ended up going to an SA off of Central just north of Medtronics and paid $13 for the 20# and like $27 for the 30# plus a $10 purge charge since my 30# was new. I will keep your pricing in mind next time-especially for the 30#erThanks
0 Dave
I've had new tanks filled and was never charged a "purge" fee. Must be only at certain places.
0 Jeremy airjer W
The $10 is a gimmick. The place next to us charges $10 to purge if you ask them why they tell you that its to cover the cost of purging gas which we all now is just propane! We have never charge for this service and most likely never will. It takes about a minute and you use about 10 cents worth of propane. I don't know how they justify the charge.
