jweitgen
I brown them in a pan with butter and a little garlic. Then put them on the grill for a minute or two. They make nice little appetizers or snacks.
WAG416
I've never tried that. I would do almost anything to get rid of the liver taste. Thanks for the post !
irvingdog
Over smouldering pig-dung with a lovely nightcrawler stuffing? I always gave my Woody's away. Ruffed Grouse they ain't..............
Twitter
I breast them out and filet the meat off leaving 2 "nuggets" of meat from each breast. Wrap each nugget with bacon and skewer like Kabobs and grill them. Once the bacon is nice and crisp, take them off the grill and serve over a bed of rice pilaf.Good eats! cyberamish
The best one I have seen is when my father in law took two woodcock that my brother in law shot and put the breasts in a nightcrawler container ( the old green paper ones) and gave them back to him.... He hasn't shot at one since!!
Tripleplay
I do the exact same thing to many of my ducks. The only difference is I soak the breast meat in apple juice (cider is too strong) before wrapping. I especially like this way on woodies.I've also had them once after they were soaked in cold coffee overnight and they were just as good and I'm not a coffee drinker.
