Target

Target doesn't have the biggest selection of outdoor gear, but they do have some good stuff on clearance right now...

Almost all of their Coleman products are 30% off... including the Northstar lanterns and the Powercat heaters (the Willmar store had two of each left on the shelf). Two-burner stoves, and tons of camping supplies.

Eddie Bauer tents are all 50% off!!! Great tents for half price!

Most of their Rapala tackle and products is 50% off. Although the selection isn't very big, I did get a bunch of lures for $2.98.

Gamakatsu hooks were 50% off. All they had were the circle hooks, but they were only $1.14 for 10 hooks. Picked some up for making yarn ties for steelhead.

Northland sleeping bags were 30% off.

Backpacks and Camelbacks were 50% off. I picked up a camelback pack (with the bladder) for $12. They also have just the bladders for $4.98.

A couple of weeks ago I picked up the Coleman 2-burner propane stove for $24 bucks at the east end store in St. Cloud. All of the Coleman products at this Target were 50% off at the time. The Target on the west end (Crossroads Mall) did not have any of the Coleman products on sale and after looking at a few other items throughout the two stores, the east end Target is usually cheaper than the west end by about a buck or two. Strange isn't it? Two of the same stores in the same town, but quite a few different prices on the same products!?

No. Duck-O-Holic, actually I've heard the whole story and I've emailed Target about this three times and got the corporate talk line from customer support back. It only made me madder at them when they gave me the "its really the Salvation Army's problem, we told them early enough it shouldn't have been a problem" response. Nice move, blame the charity for not doing enough to replace what you take from them...

Bottom line, they didn't have the guts to do what's right and they are hiding behind their lame policy and excuses just so they don't have to take some heat for standing up for what's right.

What the amount of money Target pumps into MN's economy isn't enough for you? Or maybe the amount of charitable donations they make each year ( in excess of $1.2 million per WEEK) Or maybe the fact that they are a MN based company and employ thousands in this state? You want to get torqued about the fact that they have a policy of NO SOLICITATION and they chose to stick by it. Maybe it's better to you to give your business to the folks from wally world and watch it go out of state? How much have they donated to MN charities??? And no, I don't work for Target.

Touche Cyberamish! You beat me to a great response. I just checked the contribution that Target has made to MY gradeschool, and was impressed to see the number in the thousands of dollars. Pretty nice to see a company put money back into the education of children right where I live! Especially nice that they actually donate a portion of what I spend on my Target Visa right to the school that I actually get to choose!

You have still been misled lawdog, and are only seeing one side of the story here. Target kept the SA ringers going LONG after they adopted the "No Solicitation" policy, and only ended this generosity due to complaints from the other organizations that had already been cut. They kept them ringing as long as they could, and to some-- longer than they should have in regard to the policy they were forced to issue. Target has since given straight $$ donations to the SA accross the state, and country! The media had some pathetic coverage of the real issues, and interviewed actual "bell-ringers" who had no CLUE about any of the politics of the matter in an effort to stir the pot. O yeah... my mother worked for the Salvation Army for over 14 years, and is still a supporter of both the SA AND Target.

The real purpose of this post was to let everyone know that Target has a new batch of fishing tackle on Clearance! I was in the Willmar store again tonight, and picked up Rapala tackle storage tray w/bonus (free) Rattlin' Rap inside ($2.98), Fuzz-E-Grubs 2-pk ($1.35), Rapala Plier/Clipper combo ($3.48), Blue Fox Lighted Bobber ($2.48), Blue Fox Strobe Spoons (Daredevil-- $.74), and Berkley Frenzy plugs ($3.48). There were a lot more great deals on Blue Fox, Rapala, and Berkley tackle there.

LundDuckBoat-- I also saw TWO Coleman TV/Radio/Light combos there ($28.98).

Happy (Bargain) Hunting!!!

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
