New Marcum VS560

Wiskers

Question

Well, after a long wait on the cameras due to some reason, I got mine a few days ago. First impression... Very impressed with the design and ease of operation! Played with it for a while in the house,Even more impressed. Can't wait to get it in the water. The remote is a cool idea and seems to work pretty good. You do however have to be pointing it right at that little sensor. Mine worked from across the room, thats a bonus. I can see having that remote put on something that floats and is large enough not to loose though. Great idea on standard attachable weight and cable lock for down viewing instead of making them add-ons.

So far A+ on the unit. With any luck I will have it in the water tomarrow.

Well I tell ya what.. I used my friends Aquview last year and thought it was awesome, but now with this VS560.. holy smoke.. It is the bomb... The remote works well, the camera works awesome and the clarity is great. Even the clutter is minimal with the lights above. I went to a small private lake two days ago and the water was very clear.. I could see over 20 feet away.. I could see fish coming out of the weed beds and across the bottom over to my jigs to check them out.. I could follow them all the way to my jigs with the pan. The only bad thing is when you pan on mode 3... Wow that will make you sick.. LOL LOL... I recomend staying on 1 or 2. 3 is just too fast. I love that pan mode.. No more fighting the cord to get the camera where you want it.. Even in the river with the current it was not hard at all to find the jigs and stay on the area.

Bravo to Marcum.

Dano2,

The pan features rotates the camera 360° automatically. When selected from the control keypad or remote control, pan 1, 2 or 3 are three speeds in which the camera rotates automatically. Or, you can hit the buttons and pan the camera left or right manually any time you'd like. It's a very useful feature. A pointer arrow on the screen lets you know what direction the camera is pointing too.

There's also a depth, temperature and battery level meters on screen if you activate them.

Went out tonight to watch panfish on my Marcum 560. Invited some fellow anglers over and we spent more time watching the screen and not the bobbers. They were Aqua Vu owners and they were impressed with all the features of the Marcum 560. So far, I am too! One thing I did notice was that the depth reading was right on also.
