korn_fish
I recently seen a permanent house that had two boxes away from the house, one about 11 o'clock, the other about 1 o'clock position. Both had extension cords from the box to the house. Each box looked like it had a vent on top. First thought was insulated box for generator. But then I was like, why two. Then I noticed that each box had a propane tank next to it with a hose going into the box.Do they make such a thing for power generation? They were absoutely silent, at least I never heard anything from 30 yards away.Anyone have an idea?
Ole1855
I know a guy that puts a house out on Gull Lake, he doesn't have any holes in the house, they're all outside. He uses tip-ups that he built galvanized sheet metal boxes around, in the box is a small propane lamp to keep the hole open. I would guess that's what you saw. He has an alarm system set up so when one of the tip-ups goes off, there's a numbered LED and an a buzzer that goes off telling him which tip-up the bite is on. trapperdirk
Maybe smokers or dehydrator. Still sounds strange even at that but only thing I can come up with . TD
GoodToGo
There are propane generators, I've seen them attached to portable welders. They are big and loud though, just like any other IC engine.
