what is the fastest

I know alot of you don't think that speed is important but up at mille lacs last week my buddy brought his new Eskimo Shark and I had my 5 year old strikemaster 2000.

He is very competitive and we raced. I drilled two to his one. Now that may not matter but when your drilling 50 holes I don't want to spend more time than I have to.

Any other experieces?

I can tell you it is not a jiffy legend with a 10" blade.

If your happy with your speed, that is all that really matters.

Auger blade condition will have alot to do with it as well as design.What would of happened if you would of had a Laser Mag?

Never sharpened my blades once and they are the original. And yes I drill alot of holes every year. I can tell they aren't what they use to be but why change when they outperform new augers? I guess I was just really impressed whith its performance and not so much with the Eskimo. That kind of difference can't be denied.
