Jan. 8-11 Trip

Just got back from a fantastic trip. Ok, so it wasn't so great for me. Our group caught at least 60 trout between 2 full and and 2 half days worth of fishing. I only caught 3 trout out of that big number Most where in the 3-5lbs. range which put up spectacular fights!

That's the way the bite goes. Being in the right place at the right time OR just being 20-30ft from another fisherman makes all the difference!

Used mainly tubes on our trip, though some hard tackle was used.

Glad we came home when we did---forecast for -30 to -40's for highs (with windchill factor), BURRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrr

Not to worry about the #'s of fish. If you had a great time, then that's all that matters. Where were you? NW Ontario, I'm guessing. Lakers are a whole lot of fun through a hole, eh? Thanks for the report.

I would not complain about the #'s. I would say 60 is is a haul when it comes to trout!!!!

Was actually in the Antikonan area! What a blast those trout are through the ice.

The group of 5 before us was at the same resort for 5 days and hauled in close to 200 trout. I'm thinkin' we were on a decent pace for 3 days of fishing!

That's a lot of trout! I haven't had that kind of fishing for lakers in my dreams! Was it easy to see them on the flasher? I'm excited to put the LX3 on to lakers.

Actually we had fl-8's and fl-18's on the ice- easy to see the lures and the trout when graphed just flew into your bait! HOLD ON

EYES- Have you been in that area before.....it could have been white something or another

Hemlock you should have hooked up with us last weekend, we had those kind of numbers in your back yard. Maybe next year we will have to hit Whitefish with you.
