JIvers
I've never been so happy to be so totally wrong about something! I predicted that the Vikings would lose 34-0 to the Packers today, and predicted a total Purple meltdown. Wrong! The Vikings came through, and sent the Packers home for the year, and at Lambeau no less! Awesome! You guys who kept the faith when I predicted doom were right, and I was wrong. In my defense, I did say on this forum that if the Vikings had a chance, Favre would have to throw two or three interceptions...he had four. I didn't think it would happen, though. And, the Vikings offense did not take advantage of the turnovers as they should have--it was actually the Viking defense that came through tonight. Now, on to Philly. I never considered how the Vikings might do against the Eagles next Sunday, because I gave them no chance to beat the Packers. Who knows what might come now? Chad711
You and about a million other fans. But we watch these guys all year, how CAN we think otherwise.
Chad711
Offerd played a great game? Who expected that? Even Russell did something for the first time all year...
M.T. Bucket
Not a fan of the Pack or the Vikes, but if I was, I wouldn't get to excited about the Vikings' win tonight. I think it had more to do with the statistical unlikelihood of defeating the same 8-8 team 3 times in one season than any superiority over the Pack. The Vikings' D sucks so bad, they wouldn't have had a chance if Favre wasn't tossing the ball straight to a purple jersey all afternoon. Now if I was a Pack fan, I would be pretty upset right now--you got knocked out by an inferior team. And you had to watch that childish display by Moss. Down to Earth
Gotta offer up Congratulations for the Vikings on the win over the Pack today. Pretty much the same type of game as the first two, except for the 4 interceptions Favre threw. Though to be honest the thing that bugged me most in the game was when Favre didn't put a shoulder down in that run at the end of the half, or at least get the first down and run out of bounds. I think a Favre of a few years ago wouldn't have flip the ball into the endzone. He clearly had to know he was past the line of scrimmage.Who knows where the Vikes can take it from here. With TO out you never know. Unfortunately they Eagles have a lot better defense than the Packers(that's if you called that a defense). I thought when the Pack made it 24-17, if they would have held on defense the momentum would have carried the Pack to atleast tie the game. Didn't happen. Oh well. Good game by the Vikes and too many mistakes by the Pack. Good luck guys on the rest of the way. I'll be cheering for you.Now here will be the big Packer question; will Favre come back for next year? buzzsaw
For all the KNOBS who say Culpepper never performs under pressure... The pack makes it 17-24 in the 4th quarter.. what does DC do??? Drives the ball down the field and sticks the dagger in the hearts of 72,000 frozen drunk dimwitted packer fans... OK, maybe their not all dimwitted. I heard he threw 11 TD's and NO interceptions against GB this year! Amazing since every game against the pack is pressure.
