Before you do make sure to e-mail him with the exact lantern you have. There has ben some confusion with some people not knowing wich lantern was wich. I ordered the fish bright lantern reflector at the beginning of January when the topic was first posted. Got it in 2 days and it is fantastic smile.gif!! It really throws the light down and gets rid of the shadows. We used it in a 8x8 house and hung it from one of the support bars and lit everbodies holes up just fine. I also ordered mine off of www.soderbloom.com. If you have not ordered one I would definately buy one.

Wow a FishBright for a compact? Now thats service! Like I said before Jay goes way out of his way to keep his customers happy. This should get some sort of a "Invention of the Year Award" or something. Anyone know of such a award and how I could get Jays FishBright entered in it? [email protected]

Does anyone have the fish bright hood for a Coleman North Star. Does it fit right? Mine doesn't fit. I have the North Star model fish bright hood. My globe diameter at the top is 3 3/4". Soderbloom makes their North Star model 5 1/2" + or - 1/8" globe diameter. Also I don't see any way the hood will fit over the the metal globe protector with out having to modify it a bit.

Bagley the Northstar FishBright inside hole diameter should be about 5 3/4". The tabs are supposed to sit on the metal globe protectors not directly on the globe itself. Make sure you are taking the top off before trying to put the Fishbright on. I know it sounds goofy but some people try to put it on over the lantern tops. Thats a no no.

If you still have problems or think you may have accidently got the wrong FishBright let Jay know. www.soderbloom.com

Jay just got me a couple of those FishBrights for the compact lanterns and I have to say even on that small of a unit it really does the job. Im going to try out a compact in my Otter Lodge and see how it works. From our testing tonight I think it may be just the ticket. Thanks a lot Jay Il let ya know how the Lakers go tomorrow.

I just placed my order. I also told the camping manager at scheels in St. Cloud about the product and he stated he would definately be interested in carrying a product like this. You may want to contact him. Adam

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the Coleman compact use the same globe and chain as the Century Mini-Mite sold at Fleet Farm? I have one of those and if it would fit I would definitely buy one for it. I saw the replacements globes for both at Walmart and they look identical in size.

I am the manager of Reel Fishing and Tackle in Madison Lake, MN. We not only sell the Fish Bright Lantern Reflectors, but we also use this product ourselves. This is a great invention. I would recomend this produst to anyone who uses a lantern to light up their ice house, camping, just about anywhere you are looking for extra light. This is one product that actually does exactly what they say it will by adding 75% more light from your existing lantern.

Steve Jay does his best to get those out ASAP. He usually gets the call, boxes the order up after he hangs up and when the UPS man comes they are out the door. I have even known Jay to run them to the post office if the UPS guy has already been at the shop. Ya he does go out of his way to keep his customers happy. Honestly, he is a real cool guy in person as well. grin.gif

I finally had a chance to run the Compact Coleman Lantern with the FishBright and I cant believe how much light that little unit tosses out with that FishBright on it. I ran it in my Otter Mag Lodge and it gave me plenty of light to fish with. Plus this little compact can go up to 12 hours on a 1 pound tank. Thats a big $ savings.

I think on warmer days or if Im concerned with weight I will use my compact lantern and FishBright. On cold days where I want the added heat or when Im driving to my spot I will use my Standard 2 mantle lantern and FishBright.

Another way Jay stepped up and gave his customers what they wanted. A FishBright for a Compact Lantern? Oh ya Jay did it and it works great just like the rest.
