newbie question

This is all,,, well mostly new to me since I haven't really ice fished in the past but I'm getting more interested in ice fishing, caught my first ice walleye yesterday only it was about 5". My question is, what the heck is a mousie???

welcome to the site, i believe what u are asking about is the mousie that is used for panfishin and is like a wax worm but has a little tail.....not exactly sure what they are but they do work!! hope this helps
