TV BOY
I have the ipi auger mount and it really holds it down. It is a bit of a pain to secure it if its cold out, but there is a way to strap it down without threading the velcro tab through the slot.
mjhowe
I know that Ryans ATV racks makes a nice yoke for an auger, but his web site doesn't have prices. I have used a regular pack rack that normally would carry a rifle or a bow. They are making a large heavy duty one now that looked pretty nice. I may just make one this weekend from some small iron pipe. If it comes out decent I will post some pics
Moose-Hunter
Hi Gonzo...There's quite a few products available that will fit the bill. OR... Then there's always the "custom" route.I've never been one to leave well enough alone so that's the route I took. First you need to figure out where you want the auger. Front or rear. Will your chosen location best utilize the available rack space? And as small as an ATV is, weight distribution is a concern. You can't make your ride tippy, nose or rear heavy. The best advice I can give you is, anyway you go with an auger mount, make sure you support the powerhead AND the drill assembly individually. If the powerhead is left to "flop" around, the gear box takes a hard beating... NOT a good thing.Do a search on the ATV forum, I'm sure you'll find some ideas there.Good luck on your project... BigDaddy
I had a Moose carrier which is like the IPI. I sold it because it didn't work well with my Jiffy. The handles on the Jiffy are at a compound angle and won't work right.I went with Ryan's yokes and love them.
