Lazer Deluxe Ice Auger Sharpener

Has anyone tried this or knows of someone who has? Or does anybody know a good place or how to sharpen the blades? I have a Strikemaster Lazer Mag, and I want to start sharpening the blades. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I asked the strikemaster rep at the ice fishing show the same question. He said you could do the blade exchange or if there is someone in your area who is a knife sharpener they should be able to touch up your blades.

That surprised me a bit since they have a "strikemaster sharpener" he didn't give the impression that they worked too well.

I actually picked one up today at Fleet Farm, it was only $6.99, so I figure I'll give it a try. I'll post after I find out.

I have tried to do that same thing to the lazer blades and was not successful-that is why i decided to just sell exchanges for customers--alot safer too than running your hand along the edge-problem is that the curve on the blade is not consistant and must have a jig made to handle the curve. any questions just call me--bill

I bought one about 2 years ago and they help when you are in a pinch. I was at SM yesterday exchanging blades and asked them about it and he said they will sharpen it for a little bit but won't be good enough to hold an edge for a lot of holes.
