skunked_once
You can learn lessons from mistakes that other (Contact US Regarding This Word) make.I just about froze the end of my finger off this morning attaching a 1 lb. propane tank to my Mr. Heater/Cooker.The tank was horizontal as I was screwing it on and some liquid propane leaked out all over my fingers. The liquid stuff is very cold and can freeze skin instantly. Luckily I was wearing gloves. Be sure to hold your 1 lb. tanks vertically when attaching them to your heaters and lanterns. Tom Linderholm
Thanks for the heads up, could of used it last week when I did the very same thing without gloves. Kinda like a burn but not to bad
fast40m
just a nerdy fact. propane turns from a liquid to a gas at -40f.

basebklyn7
i used to work for a liquor store back in highschool that filled 20lb lp tanks (even the big 100 lbers.) with the hose we used to fill lp tanks... we use to freeze things like plants and plastic bowls... very interesting.. you'd spray it and then kick it and it would shatter (plant too)... i had a pretty bad burn on the top of my hand from propane... not very fun stuff... be careful out there... fishin789
don't forget about when you are putting a 1 lb tank on your lantern in the dark. I did that once and it leaked on my leg. Left a nice red spot that stayed for over a week.
