Kylersk
I screwed the metal bracket to the top aluminum pole. I can then attach the light to the metal bracket. My only concern is.. The metal bracket stick out beyond the aluminum pole and it might cause wear and tear on the canvas during take down and storage? Has anyone done this? If so, any wear and tear? Or any other ideas? I put one light above my seat and I would like to get another to put above the other seat.. this should be enough light in the house...
Kylersk
This is the light I'm talking about.. You can see the metal bracket below the light (magnets attach light to bracket).
Enids Hubby
I bought the same light for my otter. A prev thread mentioned them and thought they would excellent for the price . Instead of putting the magnet on the outside and risk damaging the material when removing I was going to mount the plate onto the short braces that go from the front to the back that you take on and off . I thought if I put it right in the middle in should be bright enough. And when in that direction it won't rub on fabric as it would if mounted on the main ones mostly because there is no flat spots there.
Kylersk
That's a good idea, cept I havnt used my support brackets yet. But I guess it would be a good reason to use them. Also, not sure if it's clear on how I mounted mine, for now.. but.. I mounted the metal bracket to the underside of the aluminum pole that goes the lenght of the sled (righ above where you would sit). When the house is up, it doesnt touch the canvas at all. But because the bracket is wider than the poles (square tubing), when I take down the house, the canvas would rub on the edges of the bracket. I guess another option would be to cut a piece of steel the width, or smaller, than the poles and screw them down.

Kylersk
BTW, I just set up the house in my garage and with one light it gives enough light to see, but I think 2 would be about perfect.
