Slayer:

I hope you keep posting! Your reports are valuable. I know the policy re: no dead fish seems a little restrictive but it's not my site so I have to live with the rules. Hope to keep seeing you on the forum and on the ice.

Hey Slayer, EASE UP! Dan's just doing his job, one that he probably volunteered for. I agree there appears to be some discrepancy as to what can be shown, and what can't, but the rules are in place, like it or not.

No dead fish pictures? What kind a special interest group is the owner of this site catering too? What could be the reason for the rule? If he cares to get me back, have him email me why at [email protected] .

I won't visit anymore. You should be ashamed to moderate for a guy like that, especially for free.

www.(Contact US Regarding This Word).com is the place to be now.

Sorry, but I do have a chip on my shoulder about censorship on message boards, even if they are considered private property. Freedom of speech needs to be supported by everyone, everywhere, at all times.

Places to not do business with (give them hits):

fishingminnesota.com

walleyecentral.com

bigfishtackle.com

Dan:

I appreciate what you do for us! I know you are doing your job as moderator and I do not plan on stopping my posts. I'm not smart enough to post pictures, dead or alive, anyway. Keep up the good work!

I agree. If a person can't show a pic of a dead fish because they are scared of the "Anti" people, well you just as well close shop. So do we have to have a picture that shows it still has a heartbeat to prove it is alive? I know Dan is only doing his job, but the owner of the site might need to reevaluate why he has this board.

There is a much better site to visit, but it would be censored so I won't be able to tell ya where to go. Or maybe I can

Hey Dan, you've been on this site for a few years now, and I'm pretty sure you have your opinions on the dead fish picture thing also. Don't take the negative posts personally! I know you're only doing your job. Alot of folks are tired of being censored and are frustrated.

Keep up the good work on the Colorado site Bud!!!!!

With all things said; Slayer that was one very nice fish, for me, probably the trout of a lifetime smile.gif. But, I think you're dirrecting your fustration at the wrong people. You have every right to post that picture! It was VERY tastfully done, and an excellent fish!

Congratulations!

John

Dan, Thanks for the site. No i don't want your job. Your doing just great. I enjoy the use of this site and others.

I also enjoy everyone's opinion. Maybe the owners of the site will change there mine on the dead fish pic situation if they recieve enough of the users thoughs...

Well if i can bribe my wife into shopping this afternoon...without me I'm headed to the mile this afternoon before the masses hit tit this week end. cool.gif

SLAYERFISH

I SAW YOUR PIX ON AT LEAST 2 OTHER FORUMS. GREAT LOOKING FISH-BUT-WHAT'S WRONG W/ THIS FORUM HAVING IT'S OWN RULES. I VENTURE TO GUESS THAT MOST OF THE PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM HAVE SEEN THE PIX ON THE OTHER SITES. WHY DO YOU HAVE YOUR PANTIES IN A BUNCH? DO YOU HAVE CONCERNS ABOUT HOW LOW IT'S HANGING OR SOMETHING?

Sorry, but I rerally enjoy my trout and panfish......in the pan grin.gif I release all bass and northern. We as people have the right to choose whether we CPR or keep them for the table. So if we keep fish, are we poor sportsman and not be allowed on the site? shocked.gif

No noones saying that at all I also keep the occasional fish to. but if we all kept every fish we caught what would that do for our sport? The only reason I even brought anything up is so people dont think that fm is catering to nutso groups like peta, etc (and anyway peta dont want us to fish at all wether it be c&r or not, they think that all forms of fishing are cruel........ maybe someone should take em mako fishing and use em as bait... loljk)

Hey Dan you are doing a great job and don't let anyone get to you( slayerfish & EricCo ).. This forum would definitely not miss a couple of guys like that. Maybe EricCo could go find him a pretty good walleye forum somewhere to make him happy.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
