Got out on the Ice Saturday night..

Went out (alone) on a small lake near remer.. Was out for only 2 hours or so, but caught a few crappies, only kept one. I would have moved around, but I didnt feel comfortable with the ice. 9+" of snow on top of about 4" of ice, so I just fished near 2 other portables.

I cannot wait for ice to be here in the cities.. I had an absolute blast!

Just saying hi, as I'm also from St. Boni (technically Minnetrista I guess). What lake by Remer - we have a cabin north of Deer River so we drive through Remer all the time.

Big Sand had 4" on it? Even our bay (on Thunder) only has 1 1/2 - 2" on it. The lake is wide open. I wont get my house out until X-mas (if I'm lucky)
