smokers--gas or electric

Looking to buy a small smoker,what type and should I buy gas or elec.

been using a gas smoker for 20 years, for me it's the only way. I feel there is total control on the temperature. Gander Mountain sells one like I use and it's awsome. Good luck, Mike.

I would have to agree with the gas as well. Much easier to regulate.

What kind of gas smokers do you have? Are you talking about running them on the 20 pound cylinders?

I have had an electric smoker for about 5 years now and just love it. Super easy to use and you never need to worry if there is enough gas in the tank for a long job.

Go to Gander Mountain and look at there's. I have the larger brinkman (I think that's the brand) and love it. It's like 16 inches deep buy 24 inchs or 30 wide. Sells for $199.00 or there abouts. I use 20's and they last ok But I do use a 100 pounder too.
