syd2nd
Now that duck season is over for me, what do I do with my waders to keep in good shape as long as possible? I have a pair of neoprene and a pair of canvas waders. Any help would be appreciated.
wingnutken
From my experience canvas is best stored hanging upside down. When they are folded for long periods they tend to crack. My neoprene waders have been stored for three seasons and show no damage from folding them into the original box. Give them plenty of time to dry before you store them. Guest
I always hang em up. But....I wonder after this year cause my neopreme waders leaked at the seams and they are only one year old. This ain't just one spot but all up and down the seasms.
TV BOY
keep them in the basement or a heated garage if possible. I have had a canvas pair last 10 years.
Finlander
Pound a couple of large nails under the staircase in the basement and hang them by the straps. My waders are 5 years old now and have no signs of wear!
lawdog
One thing you guys are missing, rinse them thoroughly before you store them. I rinse off the swamp water after every time I use them for a weekend. There is a lot of acid and rough stuff in that slough water.I have hangers that hang them upside down by the boots and that has worked well for me. Scott M
I like to hit all the seams with Scotch Guard. Definately rinse them off. I wade into a local lake to rinse the big chunk of garbage off and then spray myself off with a hose. Dry them thoroughly and scotch guard the seams.
