Korn_Fisher...I think you may be right? That gives us 18 days not counting what is left of today. That is plenty of time for the ice to seize up...I'm hoping to be ice fishing somewhere up north, prior to that.

My usual first ice tradition is to go the weekend after thanksgiving, I just keep driving north until I find good ice and then go at it......I'm not sure that's going to work this year, unless I cross the border. Although it's supposed to be pretty cold the rest of this week....2-3 inches of good clear ice is all I need.

I will be fishing that weekend of the ice show, no matter how far I have to go. Nothing beats ice fishing and the ice show in the same weekend.
