Ice Anywhere yet? Northern MN or Canada

Walked out about 25 feet on a small lake here in North Central Minn. on Sun. Was only half froze over, about 1.5" of ice.

Have seen some small ponds froze over but they are likely to open up again this week as the temps have been getting into the 50's.Forcast says 50's all week. Looking like it may be a late starter again this year. SUCKS

i live in calgary alberta and got to icefish on saturday and sunday. the ice was about 2" thick. i wore a life jacket and luckily did not get wet. i caught and released about 25 perch, 1 rainbow trout, and 1 sucker. it was awesome to finally get to go. i walked on ice almost 3 weeks ago but it warmed up. i was glad the weather cooperated. its warmed up again so the ice will probably be gone by the weekend but i got 2 days in at 3 different lakes.

I'm really jealous that you are on hardwater, but then again I will have the boat out tomorrow and be spending the day on soft water so I guess life isn't that bad
