Remington Model 710

Just an FYI if you own one of these guns.

My Aunt bought a 270, model 710 last year. Its a nice gun with a good price...so she thought. Just yesterday my uncle was cleaning it and when he put the magazine back into it a peice broke that holds the magazine in. In a panic they have called numerous gun shops to get her gun fixed for the opener next week. They keep hearing the same thing. They can't get parts! A number of shops have also said that she is not the only one. This has been happening to a lot of people. One gun shop said that was the 4th call today about that particular part and problem! The shop also said people have been breaking the trigger guard off as it is made of plastic that is attatched to the gun.

If you have one of these guns check it out and you'll see what i'm talking about. And be careful too.

i agree! the remington model 710 is junk!!! i bought the gun savage makes because of how much less plastic is on the savage. the savage is the same price and way better made as far as im concerned.

others out there thinking about buying the new upcomming remington model 710 magnum in 7mm and (i think) 300 mag. may want to rethink about what they are buying!!
