Early T Zone Hunt

Recommended Posts

Yep, I will be out trying to earn my right to shot a buck. Not real excited. Hunt on in-laws farm and they are "bucks only" so I have to try and find a new area to hunt. The in-laws are not even going to hunt this year. I think the DNR needs to rethink this earn-a-buck.

Will be up by Drummond just north of Pigeon L., hoping for decent weather. Gonna try to get my compadres legal for buck killing. I gun hunt south of Eau Claire near Eleva, which isn't earn a buck. I might be going against the grain, but I have no problems with earn a buck. I do think it's a bunch of talk to charge $15 or whatever for a bonus tag when the DNR is begging people to shoot deer - give em out for free like they did a couple years back. Brown is gonna be down this weekend - whack'em and stack'em.

Was between Eauclaire lakes and Hayward. Worst T-zone we have had. 0 deer seen during daylight hours not to mention the worst possible weather conditions. I think there will be some worried earn a buck hunters this years as we only heard 2 or 3 shots.

Very little shooting in the Drummond/Pigeon L. area. Shot a yearling on Sat. afternoon and proceeded to almost get thoroughly lost. Thank goodness for compasses. Overall saw few hunters and few deer.
