Scoot
Pretty sweet looking rig, RK. I hear nothing but good things about the Suzuki 4-strokes. If I had any cash, I'd seriously look at this boat. I'd imagine it's landed a sklunge or two in the last few years, huh?------------------ScootSo I got dat goin’ for me… which is nice.
RK
Hey Scoot,Yeah, first muskie in the boat (actually, first fish of any kind come to think of it) was a 30 pounder on LoTWs, so it knows how to catch muskies Actually a pretty good walleye boat too though. Tracks good trolling and with the 25" transom don't really need wave wackers - at least I haven't missed them. The Suzuki's awesome. Best outboard I've ever owned frankly. Fast, quiet, easy to maintain. Has a gear reducer so it turns a pretty aggressive prop for a 115 (23 pitch on it right now) so hole shot is really good, and it trolls down to 1.7 mph on the GPS. jhals68
RK,Could you verify the year of your Tuffy? I looked it up on N.A.D.A and they don't show that model for 2001. They show it starting in 02. If it's an 02 I might want to take a look at it.Thanks
RK
Hiya jahls68 - Had to think about it for a minute before I figured out what the deal was...2001 was the year Tuffy changed the name of the boats built on the Osprey hull with the open interior from the Renegade to the Esox Deep-V, and they made a number of design changes to the interior at the same time. I got mine in June of 01, but it's an Esox Deep V, with the EDV interior - one of the first ones built with that model name. I don't know of that technically makes it an '02 model year just because of the model name or what...but I've always figured it was an 01 since it was new in spring of 01 - never thought about the model year business till you brought it up...NADA guide probably has the 1760 Renegade listed for 01 and the Esox Deep-V for 02.That probably totally confused the issue, but that's probably why it doesn't show up on NADA till 02.Let me know if you're interested in seeing the boat in any case.Cheers,RK
