united jigsticker
Hey Steve,Sounds like a pretty nice package deal. How much finaggle room is there, if any, on the price? I know it's already at almost half value...just curious. What length of boat are you looking for and style? (i.e. Bench style or pedestle seats)------------------Good fishing, UJ[email protected]
Fish On! Guide Service
UJ,The price on the package is negotiable; I'm open to entertaining offers. As far as a boat style, a nice 14 ft aluminum boat with either style of seats is fine. Preferably a deep hull is of interest but not necessary.Anyone in need of a spectacular set-up for turkey or deer?Stephen

BLACKJACK
This is a good price for anyone interested in getting into bowhunting!! With all the extras its a great deal! It cost me $550 bucks last year for my new Golden Eagle (bought at the archery shop in Richmond) with all the accessories, and a dozen carbon arrows, and this setup has a lot more stuff, case, archery butt, releases, etc.Fish-on, is The Block worth the money? How does it hold up to broadheads? [This message has been edited by BLACKJACK (edited 07-25-2003).]
Fish On! Guide Service
Blackjack,The Block is the finest target I've ever shot at and I'm sure others would concur. With roughly 2000 shots into my block, using carbon arrows, I've never had a "pass-through". It holds up very well to field tips but literally shreds when used frequently with broadheads. I shoot with expandable broadheads and one way to get away with using these with minimal harm to the target is to super-glue your broadhead blades in the closed position, which allows the to act like a field point. Its not too hard on the target if you choose to shoot a few times with fixed blade broadheads, but I'd limit my usage. If you choose to buy a Block and plan on shooting at it from an elevated position, such as a deer stand situation, be sure to turn the target so that the closed cell foam is in the verticle position rather than the horizontal. This will help tremendously with excessive wear and tear of your target. Check out their HSOforum and you'll see a target with 12000+ shots into it without a single pass-through. I've personally viewed that exact Block by the company rep while I worked for an archery pro-shop and it speaks volumns of their commitment to quality.Stephen

Fish On! Guide Service
Lip Ripper,The bow was purchased in Nov of 1998, brand new. Theres very little difference from High Country's newest Ultra Force to this one. They offer a couple extra camo patterns now and call the cams the "DS Hachet cam" (which stands for dead stop), versus mine being called a hachet cam. Same product, different name I believe. The bare bow new is $300 plus tax. I didn't hunt with it last year because of a back injury i sustained a week before bow opener, so In all actuality, it has only been hunted with for 3 seasons. Very well kept and serves its purpose well.Stephen
