I will definitely fish the Leech Lake Tournament and will try to get some investors to send me to the rest as a Co-Angler.

I fished the Leech Event last year and had a blast, even out fished my pro. This tour was very well run.

Some might call it a "sponsor" but I prefer investor.

Investor-Someone who would put up the entry fee for a tournament and have a chance for a return on their money if I draw and fish well.

Exactly what kind of people invest into your fishing? Do you just go around asking businesses or what? It sounds interesting.

Probably refering to his friends or family. No company or business is going to pay for an entry fee no matter who you are.

Just got notice today that the Tour has been cancelled due to lack of sponsership. Refunds will be sent in 2-3 weeks.

What a shame. I really enjoyed watching those tournaments on tv. It seemed like a very well run tournament.

Sponsorship is different with every company, some like to keep things under cover and will silently invest, while others agree to invest only if you add their stickers to you vehicle/boat. It all depends on where you live, who you know, and what places you speak with! Shame about the cancellation!
