MTT on Winnie

Just curious if anyone on board is planning on fishing the MTT on Winnie May 17th & 18th?? My partner & I have additional accomidations if anyone is interested! Big Jim

Looking at the MTT schedule, they will be at Mille Lacs on May 17 & 18 and Winne in June. Do you have your lakes and dates mixed up?

According to their HSOforum, the Mille Lacs tourney is May 31, June 1. The Winnie event is 2 one day events, the 17th and 18th of June out of Denny's resort.

Dean, you are correct. They are up on Winnie next and then to Mille Lacs.

Just got back from Ortonville and the conditions were tough to say the least. We used Saturday to prefish for the Tournament on Sunday. Saturday we boated lots of fish trolling cranks in 4-5 ft of water and bobber fishing the rocks. However, the strong winds over night and then Sunday AM, combined with the cold front really shut things down. We managed two nice fish real early Sunday AM for 5 lbs. That was good enough for 4th place. It was just one of those days.

50 teams in the tournament and only 24 fish came to the scales. Satuturday there were 140 fish that were weighed I believe. That lake can really shut down. I was happy with 4th considering we only had 2 bites all day.

Good luck up on Winni guys I will be keeping an eye on the board.
