Seein' any rubs?

Recommended Posts

Was up around Cass Lake this past weekend hanging our stands for our annual bowhunt later this month and i was very disappointed by the lack of sign i saw! Last year i stumbled across a real nice spot with alot of activity and there was really none to speak of this year. We covered alot of area and found 2 small rubs and one small scrape. I would have thought that there would have been a little more activity for this time of year. Any one else notice this??

Friday night i seen to small bucks tickling there horns together in a field. Set up the next day and had a fork rack a tree right in front of me. Monday night i seen a deer with a half rack chasing 4 does in a picked bean field. Sure seems early. Where the buck was rubing the trees there all where hit. All little saplings but still.

Went scouting last weekend in the Grand Rapids area and seen several rubs. Most of them were on small trees....I assume made by amateur's. Should start seeing more rubs and scrapes in the next couple of weeks. The rut should be a coming!

Went to check the gamecam Sunday, and found several rubs just behind the camera. Should have had the camera aimed that direction.lol. All rubs on small trees, nothng to impressive, so I figured it was either the forky or 6 that have been hanging out at the plot. Sure enough, the forky walked about five feet in front of camera and smiled for a picture, i'm sure it was him.
