Do u veteran bow hunters for black bear worry about taking a leak from your tree stand or do you carry a bottle??

Always take a bottle for scent reasons. Especially if you are hunting with a bow to take any species of animal.
You will find some old bear hunters that will contradict my statement saying that they want the bears to get used to human scent by leaving human scent behind everytime they freshen their bait station. But I would go with the no scent approach to bring even the most cautious BEAR.

pi$$ jug all the way! Also do not underestimate the volume you can expel over time. Good ones to use are laundry jugs. They are big enough and have a large opening so you do not make a mess. Gallon juice jugs work well too. Your body scent is one thing to contend with. Your marking scent is another. Bears might leave teh area if they feel you are marking too often. There are a lot of baits to hit why compete with a human that smells so bad.

Deer hunting I would do this too but sometimes you can get away with it. If you are bow hunting I would use the jug. Animals have to get too close and you can be busted just by the wind easier.

many veteran bow hunters here in IA feel urine is a good attractor but only during the rut and when it is hot and heavy. I tend to agree with you guys.

I don't believe you can mask your scent from a bear. I don't even try. Each time I vist my bait station, I make it a point to wizzz there. Never had any problem seeing bear. That is my experience.

I pee right off my stand while hunting, all bear have been shot at a distance of three feet. Right below my stand when they get to where I took a leak they stand up. that is when I shoot them. if they wanted to they could actually reach up and swat my feet with thier paw but have never had one locate me yet or show any sign of fear just curiosity.
